Great weather, please stay!

The weather has been great these last few days. Nice and cool and slightly windy. The air is crisp and clean smelling. Ahh, spring is here. I have to admit that I was a bit nervous last week when it got a tad warm (in the 80's). I know that the 80's isn't 'that' hot but, for me, as the temperature rises so does my temper. Ha ha. Can I blame my mood on the weather? Anyway, it really is only a short time until those 100 degree days come and stay through October. Uhh. I should just enjoy the moment.

Well, it's 4 days into the school week and we are still having a rough time getting over spring break and back into a routine. Maybe next week will be better. I'll keep you posted.

Took a quick trip, now home safe.

I decided to take advantage of spring break and take the kids on a quick trip to see their grandparents in St. Johns. We left Monday morning, just me and the kids, and drove through Payson, stopped at my friend's house in Heber for a short visit, then continued on to our destination. We arrived in the late afternoon and immediately took advantage of the perfect weather - we played outside until dinner and then played some more until it got dark. Joe and Sam took right to putting with grandpa's spare golf clubs and balls in the backyard. Sarah played with her favorite cousin, Abby, on the swing set then inside, downstairs and back outside again. Mary spent a good deal of her time in the big swing in the backyard. I got to relax and visit. Except for the lack of sleep (Joe and Mary's fault), I had a great time and so did the kids. We came home on Wednesday and were happy to see Mike and sleep in our own beds. Two more days left of spring break and I am already worn out.

Spring Break Officially Started...

I just picked up Sam from the bus stop. There is a huge smile on my face! It's officially spring break! I am so excited. I am so excited because I don't have to get the kids ready for school for an entire week. I don't have to worry about homework, spelling tests or packing homemade lunches. I don't have to fight kids about baths, dirty nails or clean underwear either (yes, break means break!). So what will I do, you ask? Well, we might visit family or friends out of town or hang out and have fun. Whatever we do we'll take it easy and enjoy the nice weather and each other's company.

We're still alive -

We are still alive - just very busy. We are all excited about Spring Break coming up (one more week). The weather has been great - outdoor play abounds! Tempers have been mild - grateful. The kids have also been behaving well. Ha ha.
